What is streaming?
Streaming is when you video tape a service and while you are video taping it, people can view it(live). Then once your done, people can go back and watch it again (archived). You can view below to see the difference between progressive and real streaming.
What is the difference between live and recorded?
Live is when the event it happening. For instance, you move your hand in front of the camera. If a person where watching it live, they would see a hand pass on the screen just as you did it. Archived is when you are watching something after it has happen. Like when you record a church service, then you go home and view it.
Can I just use the Internet connection that we have now?
Yes, you can use your current connection, as long as it is a broadband connection.
What about onsite installation?
We will do all onsite equipment installations at our "Per Hour of Custom Website Work" fee (prices)
Can you install the scripts on our webpage?
We can do that for a small one time fee of $35. We will need your login and password.
Why does it look like you charge more?
If you compare apples to apples, you will see that we are the more cost effective service. Below is a table of 2 different types of streaming. We do real streaming, and if you can find prices that beat ours, it is normally progressive streaming.
What is the difference between progressive (download) and real streaming?
| Progressive | ||
| Price | ||
| Management | ||
| Live Video | ||
| Concurrent Viewers | ||
| Video Quality | ||
| Jump Ahead* | ||
| Helpdesk Support** |
* Jump Ahead means that, for example, you can jump right to the preaching part of a service, otherwise, with progressive streaming; you would have to wait for the first part of the service to load before you could get to the preaching. Progressive streaming normally is done on a server with a lot of other client's websites, so a) the server is slower to send out your video (because is it also doing websites) and b) the server's connection to the web is slower (because it is use to just serving websites).
**More advanced helpdesk support means that all our team does is streaming. We don't have to focus on other parts of web development, as you would get with progressive streaming. Most progressive streaming companies charge for phone support and you can only email their support desk.
